Iranian born rocker Rob Decoup fell in love with American rock and roll at an early age, but not before experiencing the effects of war. “I remember the sirens and lights going off, my parents rushing us into the basement and the sound of a bomb landing nearby,” recalls Iranian born Rob Decoup. “Saddam was attacking. Iran was at war with Iraq. I was five years old and I had already started dreaming about coming to America someday.”
Upon relocating to Vienna in the 80's he learned English at an American School and it wasn't long before he fell in love with classic rock and roll. He has since become an accomplished musician in his own rite, and Rob took the time to chat with us about his new single 'War Hero,' and his upcoming full length album.
L.A.'s The Chimpz are set to release their self-titled EP on September 9th, and the timing couldn't be better. Chances are you've heard their music if you are a fan of shows like 'Sons of Anarchy,' Bam Margera's 'Unholy Union,' MTV's 'The Real World,' FOX sports, just to name a few. With the final season of SOA about to premiere and one of their songs being featured in episode 2, things are falling right into place. They recently released a new single from the EP titled 'California, a track that pays tribute to their home state with flare.

When it comes to tribute bands, the idea of paying homage to one of the greatest rock bands of all time must have been ominous. If you think you have heard the best Zeppelin tribute band out there, unless that band is GET THE LED OUT, you were sorely mistaken. GTLO doesn't just cover Zeppelin, they embody them on stage.
I spoke with GTLO bassist Billy Childs recently about this project, and how audiences have been responding to this true Led Zeppelin experience. Be sure to check them out online and catch them live. This is not something any Zep fan would ever want to miss!
We Gave It Hell is a progressive/metal/hardcore band out of Las Vegas, Nevada that came across our desk recently. We were instantly drawn in by their sound and knew right then we needed to talk to them. They have been described as a cross between BORN OF OSIRIS and DEFTONES, but we see much more lurking in between. Their album 'The Conditioning' is out now on iTunes, Google Play, and can be heard on Spotify. It is definitely worth a listen!
I had the chance to speak with Taylor and Parker from WGIH recently. Great guys, for sure. Be sure to give them some likes on Facebook and pick up their record. It will be a great addition to your hardcore collection.
I had the pleasure of talking with Bret Mazur, aka EPIC from CRAZYTOWN recently. The band is back with a vengeance, to say the least. They have been on the road, playing shows both in the US and in Europe to crowds who were as happy to have them back as we are. Their new single 'LEMONFACE' packs the punch that we expect from CT and we can't wait for the release of a new full length album.
I had a great chat with EPIC, and you can check out our full conversation here. Be sure to hit up their Facebook and keep your eyes open for more tour dates.
Joe Scorsone, aka FLINTFACE is the personification of hope. He is an inspiring artist in so many ways, and his newly released album 'HOPE' is about faith in ourselves and where we are headed. Joe is the perfect person to convey this message.
I spoke with Joe Scorsone recently about the new album and all that is coming up for FLINTFACE this year. Be sure to pick up 'HOPE' today, 07/22/14.
I had the pleasure of speaking with Terry Stirling of the Southern California band, Viceroy Crux. We talked about the recent release of their debut album 'Round Dice' and the successful single/video 'Rise Above.' It is great to see more and more young bands like VC playing straight up rock these days. Check out what Terry had to say and check them out on Facebook.
Prime Ministers is an Ecuadorian rock band that has been building a following since 2007, and they are now here in the U.S. continuing in that pattern. They play tried and true rock music, perhaps classic with a modern flare. I have the pleasure of speaking with two of the band's members last week about their recently released album 'NOW' and the success of their latest single/video, 'Take It Back.'
The Nearly Deads released their debut album 'Invisible Tonight' today, June 24, 2014. We definitely enjoyed the record, and also had a great time talking to the band about it recently. Be sure to check them out on Facebook, and pick up the album on iTunes.
Ben and Alex Moore make up Oliver Riot, and indie duo from Southern California. They did an acoustic video that we showcased on our site recently and we love their style, so naturally we had to set up an interview with this dynamic duo.
Be sure to check out their Live Lounge performance here:
And give them some likes on Facebook as well.
