We are very pleased to share with our listeners this conference call interview with critically acclaimed screenwriter, director and producer M. Night Shyamalan. M. Night is the executive producer for FOX's upcoming 10-episode series 'Wayward Pines,' a series based on Blake Crouch's international best-selling series of books. The series is set to premiere on FOX on 5/14/15, and after having seen the first few episodes I can tell you this is a very compelling and creepy story that has been expertly put together on screen by Mr. Shyamalan.
As with other conference call interviews we've taken part in with FOX in the past, there are multiple members of the media on the line. Questions are asked in random order and they only take as many questions as they have time allotted for. This time around, we did get our question in with M. Night at 7:25 minutes in, and he was great to talk to. We'd like to thank the other media outlets as well whose questions were asked and answered during this conference call.
Be sure to check your cable listings for 'Wayward Pines' as it will air globally in 125 countries on 5/14!
Every now and again we come across a band that just completely blows us away. Recently we were introduced to a band from Seattle that did just that. December In Red completely obliterates the idea of bands being put into one, or even two specific genres. Instead, they have so many layers that I don't think we could possibly accurately describe how good these guys are by attaching any labels to them. They recently released their sophomore album, 'The Way Out' in March and it is one of those records that stays with you.
I spoke with lead vocalist Del McGeachy this week and we got some great insight into the development of December In Red, the making of this stellar record and what the future holds. We are including links to the band's Facebook, as well as a link where you can listen to the entire record as well.

Rock music just got a much needed infusion this week with the release of Lotus Crush's sophomore album, 'Rabbit Hole.' Lead vocalist Terry McDermott (formerly of Driveblind and The Voice, Season 3 runner up) really got to stretch his legs on this album and along with Scott Mercado and Peter Klett of Candlebox, Island Styles and Mark Mattrey Lotus Crush has delivered a stellar rock record.
I had the pleasure of interviewing Terry this week about the making of the record, the beginning of Lotus Crush, his journey on The Voice and more. You can download the interview here, and be sure to check out Lotus Crush on Facebook.

We have another great band for you that you definitely won't want to miss. MARINA CITY has been getting a lot of buzz of late and we can certainly understand why. The band fuses hard rock with some pop undertones to create a sound that is more than memorable. They have not one, or two but three great vocalists in the band filling out their sound.....and that makes for a powerful arsenal in our book.
I had the pleasure of speaking with the entire band recently, and they were certainly a lot of fun to chat with. Be sure to give them some love on their social media sites.
We had the sincere pleasure of talking with Matt Walst from THREE DAYS GRACE earlier this week about their brand new album 'Human,' which was released on 3/31/15. The record is already scoring big with fans and on alternative rock radio, charts, etc. No big surprise here. We talked with Matt about the album, kicking off their US tour, and stepping into the lead spot in an already tremendously popular band.
It's been a few years since we've had the opportunity to sit down with John O'Callaghan from The Maine. The band's fans received good news recently when they announced the official release date of their upcoming album 'American Candy' for March 31, 2015, and as an added bonus they were treated to the first single off of the record, 'English Girls.' The new single has a very upbeat tone to it and takes us back a bit to their early years, but it has an edge to it that speaks to their maturity and some of the roads they've been down over the years. More than anything, you can hear in John's voice how content and accomplished he feels with this new album, and we had a great conversation about it. Well worth a listen.

Vocal sensation JULIET SIMMS has been a favorite of ours since she was fronting The Automatic Loveletter, though many were first introduced to her through her time on The Voice. A lot has happened in her career throughout the years but one thing is for sure.....she's an incredible talent. We were very excited to learn of her recent EP release, 'All Or Nothing.' She really gets to stretch her vocal chops on this record, and we love each and every track. She took time recently to have a long chat with us about the record, her time on The Voice, the music industry as a whole and more.
Wes Cage recently released his solo debut album 'Prehistoric Technology' on January 29, 2015. It definitely impressed us with it's haunting themes and intense vocals. Wes is an exceptionally talented guy with credits in acting, writing, producing, composing, singing and is an accomplished martial artist. There isn't much he can't do, and he was nice enough to chat with me about all of it recently.
Be sure to check Wes Cage out on social media, and definitely pick up his album on iTunes!
L.A. hard rockers IN URGENCY took time out of their busy schedule to chat with us recently. They recently released their self-titled EP as well as a new music video for their single 'Stitches,' which we fell in love with immediately. They are definitely getting a lot of buzz right now, so it's our pleasure to introduce them to our listeners.
Coat Check Girl is an L.A. based rock band that caught our attention recently for their ability to blend alternative, metal and hard rock into a sound that grabs you and holds your attention. CCG is made up of brothers Andre and Alejandro Rodriguez, Toby Harmans and Allan Carnevalle, and they have taken their passion for music and experiences of growing up amongst political unrest and created a sound that I can only explain as unhinged ferociousness.
I was able to speak with lead vocalist Andre Rodriguez recently about the band's beginnings and their innovative debut album. Be sure to check out their new video for 'Lose Control' on BlankTV, and give them some likes on Facebook.
